Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the RRB Group D Recruitment 2025 notification to recruit 32,438 Level 1 posts in different railway zones. RRB Group D 2025: Eligibility Criteria
For a candidate to be eligible for the RRB Group D posts, the candidate has to fulfill the following eligibility conditions:
1. Educational Qualification
The candidates should have cleared Class 10 (Matriculation) with a recognized board.
ITI or equivalent diploma from NCVT/SCVT is preferable for certain technical posts.
2. Age Limit
Minimum Age: 18 years
Maximum Age: 33 years
Relaxation of age is allowed to reserved categories as per government orders.
3. Nationality
Applicants should be:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962.
RRB Group D 2025: Exam Pattern & Syllabus
Recruitment consists of three steps:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Document Verification & Medical Examination
1. Computer-Based Test (CBT) Pattern
The CBT is a computer-based objective-type test of four subjects:

Negative Marking: 1/3rd of the marks will be deducted for each wrong response.
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
The shortlisted candidates for the CBT have to qualify in the PET.
Male Candidates:
- Should lift and carry 35 kg weight over 100 meters in 2 minutes without stopping.
- Should be able to run 1000 meters in 4 minutes 15 seconds.
Female Candidates:
- Should lift and carry 20 kg weight over 100 meters in 2 minutes without stoppage.
- Should be able to run 1000 meters in 5 minutes 40 seconds.
3. Document Verification & Medical Test
Shortlisted candidates who qualify for PET are required to undergo document verification and medical test prior to final selection.
