- The age limit for the exam is 20 years as the minimum age limit and 30 years as the maximum. There are, however, age relaxations that are applicable to certain categories like SC/STs, OBC, PwDs, Jammu & Kashmir Domicile candidates, victims affected by the 1984 Riots, and Ex-servicemen who were removed from services due to injury or other causes.

Selection Process for IBPS PO
The selection process for IBPS PO includes passing the three rounds, which are preliminary exam, mains exam and the interview round. In order to qualify for the mains exam, candidates must clear the prelims first. The prelims exam includes three sections while the mains include five sections. In the mains exam, the candidates must score a specific cut off mark to be eligible for the final interview.
Once the interview round is over, a merit list will be generated. This list is created by considering the scores of the mains exam and the interview with a weightage of 80% and 20% respectively. Candidates whose names are present on this list will receive the joining letters from the select banks.
Salary for IBPS PO
The salary package for IBPS PO is approximately ranging from ₹52000 to ₹56000 per month, with a basic pay of ₹36000. This includes Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Special Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance and so on, along with additional perks and benefits.
The House Rent Allowance is about 7% to 9% of the basic pay, while the Dearness Allowance is at 23.87% of the basic pay, depending on the inflation rate. After a period of 5 years, the salary for IBPS PO can grow up to ₹60000. Apart from this, they also get the benefits of pension schemes and government quarters.
